As reported by Open4Business, flat rolled products continue to dominate the structure of imports of metallurgical products in Ukraine.
According to the results of January-September 2026, it accounted for 69.65% of all imported deliveries of rolled metal, according to the data of the association "Ukrmetalurgprom".
The share of graded rolled products was 24.83%.
A year earlier, the import structure was also characterized by the predominance of flat products, but its share was slightly lower - 67.14%. At that time, rolled products accounted for 21.28% of imported supplies.
The total volume of imports of rolled metal into Ukraine for the nine months of 2026 reached 1.276 million tons against 1.2395 million tons a year earlier.
At the same time, the domestic market during the same period shrank by 13.79% — to 2.728 million tons.
As a result, imported products already occupied 46.78% of the Ukrainian market, while a year earlier its share was 39.17%.
Thus, the main increase in import dependence of the Ukrainian market, as before, is primarily related to the supply of flat rolled products, which remains the largest commodity group of foreign metal products.
