Only every ninth case of raiding in Ukraine comes to court

Only 11 out of 103 criminal proceedings related to raiding registered in Ukraine in January-July 2026 were sent to court, according to the data of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, published by Opendatabot and analyzed by the Experts Club analytical center.

Thus, about 10.7% of the proceedings reached the court stage - about every ninth case.

In another 21 proceedings, law enforcement agencies reported suspicion. This corresponds to approximately every fifth case registered since the beginning of the year.

At the same time, all 11 proceedings that reached the court relate to Article 205-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — forgery of documents submitted for state registration of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.

A total of 74 cases were opened under this article in January-July, or almost 72% of all raiding proceedings.

Court prospects look much worse
for categories that are more serious from a business point of view.

For seven months, law enforcement officers registered 17
proceedings regarding the illegal seizure of property of an enterprise, institution or
organization under Article 206-2 of the Criminal Code and 12 proceedings regarding countering legal
economic activity under Article 206.

None of these 29 proceedings had been sent to court at the time of publication of the study.

At the same time, the number of cases of illegal seizure of enterprise property already in seven months of 2026 exceeded the result of the entire previous year, and their share in the overall structure of raiding proceedings increased from 7% in 2025 to approximately up to 17% this year.

In general, the number of registered raiding cases continues to decrease. In January-July, there were 103 of them — 36% less than in the same period in 2025, and about five times less than before the start of a full-scale war.
