Singapore Airlines was recognized as the best airline in the world according to the results of the World Airline Awards 2026, the results of which were announced by the international rating organization Skytrax on September 18 in London.
Qatar Airways, which led the world rating in 2025, took second place, and Cathay Pacific Airways took third place. The top five also include Japan's ANA All Nippon Airways and Turkish Airlines.

Thus, half of the top ten airlines East and Southeast Asia. Among the European carriers, Turkish Airlines and Air France entered the top 10, and Emirates and Qatar Airways represent the Middle East.
Singapore Airlines received the main title of World's Best Airline for the sixth time in the history of the award. In 2026, the carrier was also named the best in the world for economy class and economy class dining.
Qatar Airways, which came second, won the award for best business class and was also named the best airline in the Middle East. In addition, in 2026, Skytrax presented the award for the best in-flight Wi-Fi for the first time, which was also won by Qatar Airways.
The World Airline Awards have been organized by Skytrax since 1999 and are based on a passenger survey. Research for the 2026 ranking ran from September 2025 to August 2026. Passengers from more than 100 countries participated, and the final results included more than 300 airlines.
Respondents rated airport and on-board service, seat comfort, cabin cleanliness, food, staff performance, check-in, boarding, entertainment, Wi-Fi and value for money.
