As reported by Open4Business, the countries of the European Union remain the largest source of Ukrainian supplies rolled metal: in January-September 2026, the EU accounted for 82.2% of Ukrainian exports of metallurgical products.
According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, another 9.2% of supplies went to other European countries, and 6.7% — to the CIS countries.
In general, Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises exported about 2.277 million tons of rolled metal in nine months, which was 61.1% of the products produced in the country.
At the same time, the geography of Ukrainian imports is significantly different from the structure of exports.
The largest source of supplies of metallurgical products to Ukraine were other European countries outside the EU — they accounted for 48.8% of imports.
The second place was occupied by the countries of Asia with a share of 26.6%, the third was the EU-27 countries with 17%.
In general, January-September Ukraine imported 1.276 million tons of rolled metal.
