As reported by Open4Business, Ukrainian investment attraction and support agency UkraineInvest and The Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at expanding investment cooperation between the two countries, the Embassy of Ukraine in Azerbaijan reports.
The document was signed in Baku as part of the II Azerbaijan International Investment Forum by AZPROMO Executive Director Yusif Abdullayev and UkraineInvest Executive Director Maryna Khlystun, the Ukrainian Embassy in Azerbaijan reports.
The parties intend to develop direct contacts between the businesses of the two countries and create conditions for the implementation of joint investment projects.
Ukraine, in particular, is interested in attracting Azerbaijani capital to the country's reconstruction projects. Infrastructure, energy, transport and logistics, agricultural sector, industry and technologies are among the potential areas of cooperation.
Ukraine's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Yuriy Husev noted the work of the management and teams of AZPROMO and UkraineInvest in implementing the strategic partnership of the two countries into specific joint investment projects.
The signing of the memorandum was also confirmed by AZPROMO. According to the Azerbaijani agency, the document between AZPROMO and UkraineInvest was included in a package of 11 agreements signed during the international investment forum.
In general, the agreements concluded within the framework of the forum cover construction and development, digital economy, renewable energy, industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, finance, water management, sports and investment promotion.
II Azerbaijan International Investment Forum was held in Baku September 25-26, 2026 under the patronage of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The organizers were the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan and AZPROMO as part of a strategic partnership with The European House - Ambrosetti.
UkraineInvest is a state body for investment attraction and support. The organization accompanies foreign and Ukrainian investors, provides consulting, analytical and informational support and participates in the promotion of investment projects of Ukraine on international markets.
