The organic food market in Ukraine shows explosive growth despite all the challenges of wartime. According to the Organic Federation of Ukraine, the market volume doubled in two years and reached €180 million.
The main driver is a change in the consumption habits of the urban population. Buyers, especially young people and people of the middle class, increasingly choose products with a transparent origin and without chemical additives.
Natalia Kameneva, a leading expert in the food industry, notes that Ukraine has a unique chance to become a leader in organic production in Europe thanks to fertile soils and traditions of natural farming.
